About us...

Snowbound Press, Inc. was started in 2002 by a brother-and-sister writer/artist team. They loved great picture books when they were kids (that's them in the picture there!), and decided that they wanted to make them now that they are grown up!

Jeff Snow is a storyboard artist. He has worked in television and feature film animation for the past decade and has supervised storyboard work at a number of Hollywood animation studios, including Disney, Warner Brothers, and Film Roman. He is currently Head of Story for Over the Hedge, a DreamWorks animated feature to be released in theaters in May, 2006. His first book for Snowbound Press, Beasts in the Closet, is ready for select customers in November, 2005, with a formal April, 2006 publication date for the book trade.

Ravay Snow-Renner was trained as a fine artist and has worked in all sorts of print media. She has always loved to read, especially good writing, so she became a reading and writing teacher. After many years in developing her expertise in education reform research and policy analysis, she returned to some of the best writing she knew — writing for young children. Her first book for Snowbound Press, Hildegarde and the Great Green Shirt Factory, was printed in the winter of 2003-2004.

Our titles are distributed to the book trade through Independent Publishers Group.
